AFFILIATE ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP (AAM)
Affiliated Professional Members are persons of outstanding intellectual ability, who are interested in the professional practise of Geography and the work of the Professional body (ICGN), for a maximum of three years, after which application for full Associateship is expected. This category of Membership is open to those who are Associates of affiliated professional institutions, with personal interests in the professional practise of Geography, but have no basic knowledge in the subject matter or completed any of the qualifying stages as recommended by council. 
            Qualifying
Affiliated Associateship is open to individuals who can satisfy the council with substantial career progression and who can also produce evidence of seniority and maturity of experience in any field which involves or promotes the advancement and professional practice of Geography. More so, Executives practising in the broad area encompassed by national and international geography related areas; economics and or otherwise! Affiliates Associates of ICGN are elected for a maximum of two years, after which application for full Associate is expected through the PE III qualify examination.

To be elected to this category, candidates must:

• have completed  his first degree or a Postgraduate degree programme in a related field; 
• be or have been in employment (Senior Management level) for an aggregate of at least two years or more;
• in the opinion of the Council, be making or have made significant contribution to the advancement of global geographical issues.
• be willing and able to promote, safeguard and protect the integrity of the INSTITUTE.
